Sweet Goodbyes Served with Fresh Opportunities

In 2023, Mark was serving as a Fine Dining Server and Sommelier at a high end restaurant on Broadway in Downtown Nashville. The company had a candy jar in the entrance area of the restaurant so that guest leaving could take a piece of candy on their way out. Mark approached the Managing Partner and asked if he could solve a problem that the restaurant didn't even know they had... The Managing Partner asked what that problem was. Mark explained that after spending 150.00 per person for dinner being offered a mini Twix or Peanut Butter Cup or Hershey's candy bar was cheapening the experience and also costing the company $.15 - .25 per piece without having any effect on the dining experience. Mark asked if he could perform a little experiment for the business.

Mark took the business logo and had Hospitality Mints individually wrap their butter mints with the logo, the phone number and website of the business printed on the individual mints. The cost per piece plummeted to about .08 cents and not only were the mints much higher quality than the Halloween candy that they replaced, they also looked sharp and gave guests leaving a sense of brand pride and class while their mouths enjoyed the melt in your mouth peppermint bliss the candies provided.

With these mints ultimately finding their way to someone's purse or pocket, they are reminded of the great meal they had and the printed phone number and website url brought in return guests and attract repeat business.
